Huckabee Leads Among Independent Voters

Mike Huckabee beats President Obama among Independent voters, the critical voting block needed to win the election. Huckabee also beats rivals Mitt Romney and Sara Palin handily, scoring a solid 82% favorability rating among Republican voters.

Even more damaging for Palin, she trails by over 14 percentage points among Independent voters.

Poll: Huckabee Owns Iowa

A new poll out yesterday shows that Mike Huckabee, who won the Iowa Caucus in 2008, is favored by 21 percent of likely Republican voters for 2012, while just 14 percent back former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, who campaigned as a pro-life candidate in 2008 even though he wasn't, and an even more pathetic 12 percent like former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.

Huckabee Owns the South

According to this new poll from Public Policy Polling, Mike Huckabee OWNS the South. Without carrying the South, the last two Republican presidents would not have won. It is a vital conservative voting block.

Conservatives will do well to remember this when the 2012 election rolls around. Nominating anyone other than Huckabee risks fracturing the South, and a guaranteed loss.
